The Southeastern Sectional Championship meet will host the top 650 athletes in the Southeast including

"We worked hard to secure the bid to host the Speedo Champions Series meet here in the Raleigh area for the first time, and we're thrilled to do so at a quality facility like the Curran Aquatic Center" said John Roy, Head Coach of the New Wave Swim Team. "This meet features Olympic gold medalists and world champions and will provide an opportunity for Triangle residents to see some of the fastest swimmers in the world while being part of the exciting competition," Roy added.
The meet will feature the top local athletes swimming at the state of the art facility, joined by qualified
swimmers from South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, West Virginia, Kentucky and
across North Carolina who will come to Cary for this championship event.
"This is an amazing opportunity for you, your athlete, and your family to swim, work and watch swimming in the fastest water in the Southeast, and it is right here in Raleigh," said Karen Garbarino, parent of local participating athlete Michael Garbarino.
The Triangle Aquatics' Curran Aquatic Center is a public aquatic facility available to all citizens without a membership requirement. It is located at 275 Convention Drive just off I-40 at Exit 291, adjacent to Cary's largest mall, the Cary Towne Center.
