Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Oct. 2, 2023) – With the meetings and events industry reinvigorated to its pre-pandemic vitality, Meetings Today announced the winners of its 2023 Best of Meetings Today Awards, an annual recognition given to the top meeting facilities and destination marketing organizations (DMOs) in North America, as well as the top global DMOs. The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Raleigh) was awarded in the Best South CVBs/DMOs category.

A September 2022 article in Meetings Today hailed Raleigh as “A modern Southern city with all the comforts of home,” stating that “Raleigh is guaranteed to have something for everyone, and the state capital has seen recent developments this year that put even more opportunities for planners on the table.”

The winners were selected via voting by Meetings Today’s audience and content team.

“In-person meetings and events are coming back as strong as ever, and these facilities are among the best at serving them,” said Tyler Davidson, vice president and chief content director of Meetings Today. “While by no means an exhaustive list, the facilities and DMOs included in this year’s roster of Best of Meetings Today Award-winners have proven to be a reliable choice for their consistency, service and wealth of amenities preferred by groups.”

The following criteria applied to the nomination of meeting facilities, where applicable: quality of meeting space; guest rooms; guest services and amenities; food and beverage service; efficiency and helpfulness of staff; availability and quality of tech; recreational facilities and activities; cleanliness; and overall value and experience. The criteria for nominating destinations were the overall service they provided to planners for their meetings and events. You can discover all the 2023 Best of Meetings Today Awards winners here.
