At the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance, we've consider this period of time nothing but a pause. We'll all be back at the regular rhythm of sporting events soon—we're close.
In fact, the four-week visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series just happened last fall at WRAL Soccer Park and fields across the area, and venues such as the Raleigh Convention Center—which just achieved the prestigious Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ facility accreditation—plus other facilities have opened. In addition, the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services has released sports-specific interim guidance and interim guidance for different venue sizes here:
In addition, many area restaurants and hotels have been certified through the statewide Count On Me NC program, which teaches hospitality businesses how to ensure the best and safest practices when serving guests. Event service suppliers have also been certified in the program.
