Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing sports in Greater Raleigh, and this premier sports destination is embracing the craze in a big way. From public courts to private clubs, Raleigh, N.C., has quickly become a hub for pickleball lovers of all levels. The region even draws national attention—the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour has stopped annually at Cary Tennis Park, attracting thousands of players and spectators from across the country.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just picked up a paddle, here are some of the best places to play pickleball in the Raleigh area.

Cary Tennis Park

Located in Cary, this award-winning facility is one of the biggest draws for pickleball players in the region. With more than 30 courts, including a growing number completely dedicated to pickleball, it's the official site of the PPA’s North Carolina Open. It’s a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience high-quality play or watch the pros in action.

It's ideal for year-round play and makes for a great group outing or corporate team-building event.

Buffaloe Road Athletic Park

This park in North Raleigh has four dedicated outdoor pickleball courts that are free to use on a first-come, first-served basis. The courts are lined specifically for pickleball and are well-lit, allowing for evening play. It’s a popular weekend destination for casual players and families.
