Steve Halaszi appreciates good coffee and desired to open his own café with a European spin. Steve and his wife opened the first Benelux Café in Aug. 2010, located in Downtown Raleigh’s City Market. They also have a second location in the foyer of the Alexander Family YMCA. Benelux is expanding and will soon be opening their third location in Cameron Village.
Benelux offers Greater Raleigh a cozy spot to relax or work with free Wi-Fi. Not only does Benelux Café pour their energy into amazing coffee drinks, but they serve delicious Belgian waffles and beer. Walking down City Market's cobblestone streets and into the café will make you feel like you're in a different country.
Fall has certainly made an entrance in Greater Raleigh. With the recent rain and cooler temperatures, you'll surely want to visit Benelux for a cup of coffee and waffle. My favorite part about fall is definitely the overload of pumpkin. It's safe to say that I am a bit "pumpkin obsessive." This fall season I decided to tone down the obsessive pumpkin consumption until the cooler temperatures finally arrived. Of course, I enjoyed my first pumpkin spice latte this week at Benelux. I went all in and even got whipped cream.
After my first sip, I knew I'd be back soon to Benelux. Try two days later! Their pumpkin spice latte is one of my favorite treats during the fall. The latte has delicious fall flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Cozy up on the couch at Benelux and enjoy one of my favorite coffee drinks.
